TO ALL POTENTIAL FAB 2018 ARTISTS AND PARTICIPANTS:
Your FAB Committee invites you to participate in the upcoming FAB 2018 show and sale to be held the first week of March at the Art Center Sarasota.
We are taking the first 13 artists from each of the six guilds (Florida West Coast Bead Society, Manasota Weavers Guild, Sarasota Shell Club-Artisan Division, South West Florida Art Yarn Guild, Surface Design Guild Sarasota, and Venice Society of Basket Weavers) until October 15, 2017. After that date, we will open registration to qualifying members of all the guilds, giving preference to those on the Wait List. We had no problem in 2017 accommodating all artists wanting to participate, so we don't anticipate any problem for FAB 2018.
The entry fee is $45 and each artist is responsible for assisting with overall security, particularly with their own items. Commissions cover the costs of rent and liability insurance at Art Center Sarasota. They are 20% for 6 hours of work at FAB and 30% for no hours worked
The 2018 FAB Rules and Guidelines will be available by late Summer 2017. It is the responsibility of each artist to familiarize yourself with the contents. The committee will meet with the artists from each guild should you need clarification of any rules and pricing guidelines. Please make sure to contact us well in advance of screening.

The FAB Committee is evaluating the future of FAB from several aspects. One is the participation of guild members as artists. Another is your continued commitment to creating new and unique work to sell.
