Florida West Coast Bead Society is a community club that welcomes all who enjoy beading. The group meets at 1-3 PM in Sarasota and 7-9 PM via Zoom, usually on the second Monday of each month . Membership dues are $25 for the year. We’re a fairly large group with over 73 members, most of whom are from Sarasota/Manatee/Charlotte counties. Our beaders are at various levels of expertise and enjoy helping and learning with like-minded people.

You are welcome to attend your first meeting as a guest. There is a program or project at each meeting. Information is generally emailed about two weeks to ten days before the meeting, and again several days before the meeting with a materials list if we are doing a project, which is also available on this website by clicking on the “Next Meeting” tab. Please check this information before you come so you’ll know if there are any date or location changes.

The Bead Society sponsors workshops, which we are now doing via Zoom, with both nationally known and local Florida instructors. Workshops have been taught by Diane Fitzgerald, Huib Petersen, Marcia DeCoster, Jill Wiseman, Cynthia Holsclaw, Nancy Cain, Cristie Prince, Leslie Venturoso, Pam Garbig and Jean Power.
