Our next meeting is Monday, August 3, at 7 PM in the Waldemere Fire Station Community Room.  When parking at the fire station--please be aware that the wire fence enclosed area is only for firefighters--do not park in that area.

Please be reminded that due to the Labor Day holiday, our September meeting of the Bead Society will be held on Monday, August 31, at the Waldemere Fire Station.  

Minutes from the July 6th meeting are attached for your review and comment.  To expedite our meetings, minutes are not read at the meeting, but you will be asked for corrections/additions; and if none, to approve the minutes as emailed to you.  Or you can download them HERE.

Dee Cooper, one of our liaisons to the Fabulous Arts Boutique (FAB) committee, reported that 45 eligible members of participating guilds have registered--and suggested that eligible Bead Society members register ASAP if planning to participate in FAB 2016.  Please see the attached FAB information and registration sheets.

During the month of August, registration continues for members only for our Jill Wiseman workshop--bring the attached registration form to the meeting or mail it as directed on the form.  (Non-members may register beginning September 1 for any remaining vacancies.)   The workshop is November 5 - 9 and will be held at South Gate Community Center in Sarasota.  For members of the Bead Society, partial costs of the classes will be underwritten by the Bead Society.  Member cost per class will be $50.00, which includes a light lunch each day!  In additional, Jill will be our guest speaker at a special evening reception/meeting of the Bead Society on November 9th.  

Please note the following changes to our upcoming Jill Wiseman workshop:

1.  Due to low enrollment, members approved canceling the wire kumi

     necklace class and substituting a bead weaving project suggested 

     by Jill.  She will teach a brand new design that will be submitted as

     an offering at Bead & Button 2016.

2.  The Rosetta class on Monday, November 9th is filled.  You may go

     on a wait list for this class, if you wish.

Member (and owner of "Creations by L" on Anna Maria)  will be teaching the project this month--a beautiful Star Flower Bracelet design.  Lois has prepared kits for those wishing to purchase them ($15.00) and has prepared a materials list (see attached) for those choosing to bring their own beads.
